A complete refurbishment of an existing retail shop to create the first LIMA restaurant in London, this Michelin starred restaurant was designed to a strict budget and achieved rave reviews for the food and interior from leading critic Fay Maschler.

An open kitchen separates a bar with a high table at the front from the rear dining area with its detail of grey-painted stepped wooden walls that I told Amy authoritatively (I have never been to Peru) were referencing Macchu Picchu.

A Taste of Peru in London

By adding simple but unusual detail, referencing Peruvian architecture in the wood to the walls and the stitching to the banquettes, MAWD could create a sense of place, giving LIMA a distinct style to compliment the outstanding food.
