Our experienced and creative leadership team is the backbone of our strong reputation. Elliot & James are directly involved with the development and output of each interior design studio and are actively involved in every stage of each project.

Co-Founder
Elliot March
As an architect, Elliot channels his experience into creating unexpected approaches to design, based on a holistic understanding of global demographics and consumer trends. Elliot’s wide-ranging interests – from photography to surfing, yoga and climbing – inspire continual aesthetic reinvention. Elliot is passionate about the environment and its protection.
Elliot has pioneered MAWD’s Experience-Centric Design process (EXCD), an approach that places the end-users needs at the heart of the design, resulting in spaces that are relevant and authentic, with increased interest and appeal. Elliot has emerged as a leader in the industry, executing projects around the world.
He is personally involved throughout all projects, leading concepts and client relationships and overseeing execution. Elliot’s passion for the environment has informed MAWD’s premise of “Design for the Greater Good,” and he enjoys researching and finding new, sustainable solutions to meet the design challenges that face the built environment. Based in Los Angeles, Elliot enjoys activities include cycling, surfing, yoga and meditation. BA (Hons) Architecture MArch / ARB

Group Finance Director
Mauro Garbini

With over twenty years’ experience, Mauro ensures the business side of MAWD runs seamlessly and has day-to-day responsibility for all commercial and financial aspects of the group.
Outside of work, Mauro enjoys the outdoors especially mountain biking and hiking in the Alps with his wife and their two children.

Jane Maciver
With a holistic and hospitality led approach, Jane creates meaningful design that responds to a site and brief and providing authentic and unique experiences, not adhering to a studio style or trend. Jane’s approach to projects is based upon a holistic and hospitality led approach each project has depth, character and is reacting to its setting.

Aline Trindade
Aline Trindade is an award-winning interior designer and architect with over 20 years of international experience across high-end hospitality, luxury multifamily, and mixed-use projects. As Design Director at MAWD | March and White Design in Los Angeles, she brings a global perspective shaped by work in New York, Boston, Paris, São Paulo, and Panama City.
Aline specializes in translating strong conceptual narratives into fully realized environments, leading projects from vision through construction with a focus on design integrity and technical excellence. Her portfolio includes landmark developments and internationally recognized hospitality projects.

Shelley Baxter
A highly creative interior designer who has been part of the MAWD team for over a decade, her role includes overseeing the concept and detail design development, along with FF&E selection and specifications.

Giulia Laugero
As Head of Business Development & Marketing at MAWD | March and White Design, she leads the firm's growth strategy across the Americas, driving business development, strategic marketing, and client engagement initiatives with a focus on luxury residential developments, branded residences, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
For more than a decade, Giulia has helped design-led businesses strengthen their market presence by building lasting relationships with leading developers, investors, architects, hotel operators, and industry partners. She is known for connecting visionary design with commercial strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and cultivating partnerships that drive sustainable growth.
Having lived and worked in New York, Paris, Berlin, and Turin, Giulia brings a global perspective and a deep understanding of international design and real estate markets. Her cross-cultural experience enables her to navigate complex business environments while fostering meaningful collaborations across continents.
Giulia holds a Global Master's in Management from ESCP Business School.

For over 12 years, Chantelle Browne has led marketing, brand and business development across the private aviation and superyacht industries, building brand awareness, driving commercial growth and creating strategic partnerships for luxury global businesses.
