Elegance with an Edge

March and White Design rearranged and redesigned this existing lobby in a City workspace building for client Blackstone. The target occupiers for Nine Appold at Broadgate Quarter are cosmopolitan professionals, so MAWD conceptualized a smart look and feel with a hospitality edge.

The EXCD process always begins from the point of view of the audience. In this case, the design needed to appeal not only to existing tenants but also expand to include entrepreneurial, tech-style businesses.

We worked closely with Blackstone to understand the tenant mix. The goal was a space that felt hospitality-led to attract a younger tech crowd, but was also smart enough for the corporate tenants.

A Hospitality-Influenced Commercial Lobby

To broaden the building’s appeal, MAWD worked with the existing ceilings and floors to create an updated look while adhering to a strict budget. The resulting design strategy saw the addition of new eye-catching features such as the bespoke chandelier, the bronze screens and sculptural furniture.
