A Commercial lobby - Retail inspired

A landmark Grade II listed building comprising an entire block in Knightsbridge, this mixed use development retains and combines the existing Grade II listed façade with an all new structure to provide retail units, office space and 15 apartments.

MAWD worked on both the residences at Knightsbridge Gate and the enhancement of the new commercial spaces of this prestigious development.

MAWD Knightsbridge Gate Commercial Window seating — The eye-catching floor lamp is a statement lighting piece, coupled with jewel-toned contemporary seating that echoes a private members club.

We envisaged the tenants, we thought about the setting on Knightsbridge and we created a retail inspired space with the mystique and atmosphere of a private members club.

MAWD Knightsbridge Gate Commercial Reception Desk 1 — The wall panelling is dark, a nod to the heritage of the area and reflecting the age of the building, but contemporary - with a metallic finish for an unexpected, high-end touch.

The interior story was centered on Knightsbridge, creating a retail inspired entrance which balances a sense of the unexpected with a highly crafted look and feel.

The target demographic are corporates in sectors like trading and banking, who desire a Knightsbridge location and a modern, luxury experience.

MAWD Knightsbridge Gate Commercial Lighting 1 — The art gallery influence is revealed by the statement lighting installation, creating an instant 'wow moment' on entering the space. The black and white flooring is a modern take on the traditional black and white marble floor.

MAWD Knightsbridge Gate Commercial Back Wall Desk Curve — The furniture pieces have a sculptural form, driven by the art influence. The curvaceous reception desk in its two tone textured, metal finish contrasts against the panelling behind and reflects the polished retail look of the nearby luxury stores.

MAWD Knightsbridge Gate Commercial Lift Lobby — The lift lobby works to enhance the existing traditional character of the building.
