barman behind the cafe royal bar mixing cocktails — Over the years, The Café has been frequented by writers and artists such as Oscar Wilde, Aubrey Beardsley, Arthur Conan Doyle, H G Wells, George Bernard Shaw, Rudyard Kipling, W B Yeats, Walter Sickert and James McNeill Whistler.

A historic space transformed

A light touch refurbishment providing bars, furniture, fabrics, and screens to give the hotel additional lobby, bar and club space. Taking inspiration from the hotel Cafe Royals rich history we created a layered interior design for the club areas with rich fabrics and velvets.

The Club oozes opulence and elegance. Occupying Café Royal hotel’s entire first floor, interiors have been overseen by March and White Design, who specialise in architecture and interiors. The historic space has been transformed with a blend of elegant English and French design, adorned with bespoke rugs and plush velvets.
