This year's New York Design Week was anchored by fairs including ICFF, with additional events throughout the week.

MAWD's calendar was packed this May, as the studio was appointed to design the Bespoke Salon at ICFF, an intimate lounge space in partnership with Architectural Digest.

For the Bespoke Salon, our studio conceptualized the Salon as a multisensory dialogue: deliberately layering materials, scents, sounds, and textures to spark a full-body interaction with craftsmanship. The end result, an experience closer to a sensory performance than an exhibition.

Additional events this week included an intimate dinner at Casa Cipriani with Molteni&C celebrating The Grand Tourist Book and the "Monk" chair, a well-known design by Afra & Tobia Scarpa, specifically for Molteni.

The week also included the unveiling of the new Artemest Galleria, an intimate and warm gallery taking inspiration from the 1970s design.

Last, but certainly not least, MAWD attended an intimate event in Tribeca with Calico to celebrate a new wallpaper collaboration with Lee Broom. For the event, Calico transformed a Penthouse into a warm and inviting space to experience with friends old and new.
