MAWD worked with a leading real estate investment firm on the interior design of their new offices. MAWD wanted to achieve a blend of sophistication for guests and a relaxed feel for the people in their organisation. The project embraces some of MAWD's ideas for new ways of working. A gathering kitchen acts as the hub of the office with private meeting rooms and privacy pods for quiet work.
This office space, designed pre-covid, has shown the relevance of MAWD’s work rethinking the office. Making the kitchen the focal point is something we often see in co-working spaces and residential projects, we really wanted to play on that, making it the gathering point for the team. As we return to the office it has been really nice seeing the space become one of the most important in the office, a place to get together to; eat, meet, work and chat.
The Grade II listed building has been thoughtfully refurbished and the fit out sought to blend contemporary and heritage elements. Characterful offices and meeting room / library spaces in the heritage rooms contrast with the contemporary open plan office.
Open plan work spaces with a fresh hospitality influenced aesthetic to contrast with the heritage spaces.
