MAWD are honored to be recognized as part of Artemest’s Champions of Craft 2026, an initiative celebrating designers whose work champions craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
Celebrating Craftsmanship, Culture, and Contemporary Design
MAWD | March and White Design is honored to be recognized as part of Champions of Craft 2026, an initiative by Artemest that celebrates a global selection of designers whose work champions exceptional craftsmanship and cultural heritage.
This recognition places MAWD among an inspiring international cohort of studios committed to preserving artisanal traditions while shaping the future of design through innovation, narrative, and material integrity.

Curated annually, Champions of Craft brings together leading international studios whose practices demonstrate a deep respect for artisanal traditions, material authenticity, and the preservation of time-honoured techniques. The initiative reflects Artemest’s broader mission to champion the world of Italian craftsmanship, spotlighting those who integrate these values into contemporary design in meaningful and forward-thinking ways.
Our inclusion recognises a body of work that consistently places craftsmanship at the centre of our design narrative. Across a diverse portfolio spanning luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial projects, we approach each commission with an emphasis on materiality, detail, and the human hand behind every element. Rather than treating craftsmanship as an ornamental layer, we embed it into the foundation of each project—ensuring that spaces are not only visually refined, but rich in texture, authenticity, and cultural resonance.
This ethos is closely aligned with Artemest’s own, and our relationship with the platform has evolved organically over time. We have frequently sourced through Artemest’s curated network of artisans and makers, incorporating bespoke pieces and collectible design into projects across the globe. From statement furnishings to one-of-a-kind objects, these elements play a key role in shaping interiors that feel both globally relevant and deeply rooted in craft traditions.
At MAWD, we consistently aim to resonate with the brands of tomorrow. We understand that well-designed spaces leave a lasting impact to fostering connections that will shape our future and believe in crafting multi-dimensional space that exude a sense of timeless comfort and functionality.

Through this ongoing collaboration, we are able to bridge contemporary design with centuries-old techniques, bringing a layer of individuality and narrative depth to our work. Each piece sourced through Artemest contributes not only to the visual identity of a space, but also to its story—connecting our clients to a wider heritage of making and material culture. Being named a Champion of Craft places us within an international dialogue that prioritises authenticity, longevity, and the value of the handmade in an increasingly digital world. It is a recognition that speaks not only to our past work, but to our continued commitment to elevating craftsmanship as a defining element of modern luxury. As the boundaries of design continue to evolve, initiatives like Champions of Craft serve as an important reminder of the enduring relevance of artisanship—ensuring that the traditions, skills, and stories behind each piece remain an integral part of the spaces we create.
